Background: Prior to Chase County, Githens served as Vice President for Career and Technical Education at Independence Community College. He has 20 years of experience teaching social studies, science, and communication classes. In addition to teaching he has coached varsity basketball, football and track & field. Githens serves on the Kansas Council for Workforce Education and is a previous state chairman for the Kansas Council of Deans and Directors of Continuing Education.
Interests: He enjoys spending time with his family, singing for his church, riding motorcycles, and scuba diving.

Background: Grew up in Arkansas City, KS and moved to Wichita to attend WSU where she met her husband, Jerod. They lived in Wichita for 8 years and she had her son Dominic. In August of 2015 her and Jerod relocated their family to Chase County so that Dominic could start school and grow up in this wonderful community.
Interests: She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, traveling, volunteering with CCES and CCHS activities and helping in the community.

Background: Albers began her teaching career at Chase County High School in 1989. During that time she has taught a variety of subjects and served on numerous committees. From 1995-2004 she served as the district curriculum director. She is currently the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) sponsor.
Interests: She enjoys spending time with family and supporting her children in all of their activities.

Duties: Albers is currently teaching Carpentry and Welding courses and has taught MS Social Studies and Principles of Technology.
Background: Coming to Chase County after graduating in 1991, Albers has coached MS football, basketball, track, HS football and basketball. He has also coached summer baseball and softball. Albers has served on various school related committees and organizations. He and his wife, Bernice, have two children, Ryan and Lindsey.
Interests: He enjoys spending time with his family, working part time for the Recreation Commission, hunting, fishing and traveling.

Background: Budke was a teacher-naturalist at the Great Smoky Mountain Institure at Tremont, TN, where she led backpacking adventures in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park while teaching outdoor and environmental curriculum. She was a trainer at Ecology and Environment, EPA Region 7 subcontractor, Instructed First Responders hazardous chemical categorization and containerization. She taught biology at Van Horn High School in Independence, MO.
Interests: She enjoys working at her vinyl deign business, riding horses and raising kids.

Background: Budke has taught science i this district for the past 18 years. The first three years, he taught Science and PE at the junior high. The last 16 years he has taught Earth Space Science, Physics, Chemistry, Physical Science, Environmental Science, Science Modeling and Reconnecting Youth at the high school level. His other teaching opportunities have come as a strength instructor for Butler County Community College and as a chemistry teacher for Upward Bound. Budke has over 20 years of coaching experience at the junior high and high school levels.

Background: Drake began teaching in Chase County in 1973, teaching spanish and math. Besides her duties for USD 284, Drake teaches at state and national conventions and summer workshops. She also serves as a judge for many state and national press associations.
Interests: In her spare time, Drake enjoys spending time with her husband, Rodger, their cat, Georgie, as well as reading and traveling.

Background: Edminston became the At Risk Coordinator for grades 7-12 in the 2012-13 school year. Prior to her current position, she taught Physical Education and Health for 34 years at Strong City Grade School, Chase County Middle School and Chase County High School. She previously coached middle school and high school volleyball, middle school track and assistant middle girls' basketball for numerous years. She now is a KSHSAA volleyball official and enjoys staying involved in the sport.
Interests: She enjoys spending time with her family, being involved in her church work, refinishing furniture and yard work.

Duties: Eidman teaches 7th and 8th grade language arts and English III, co-directs the all-school musical or play, and sponsors National Honor Society and the Class of 2019.
Background: Eidman has been teaching for 10 years at Chase County Jr/Sr High School after taking a five-year absence to raise her children. Before her absence she taught 8th grade language arts at Chase County Middle School for six years. Her first teaching job was at Remington High School where she taught freshmen and sophomore literature and junior english for two years.
Interests: She enjoys reading, relaxing, and raising her four children.

Background: Hannigan is a Chase County High School alum, graduating in 2008. After his education he returned to Chase County to fill the agriculture teaching position and help on the family farm west of Strong City. He has since worked to develop the Chase County FFA Chapter and vocational agriculture program.
Interests: Hannigan enjoys the outdoors, gardening and fishing on the Cottonwood River.

Background: Hazelton is a 1992 graduate from Chase County High School. She spent a year and a half substituting teaching and coaching at Chase County schools after graduating from Emporia State University in December of 1995 with Magna Cum Laude Honors. She entered this school year with 19 years of teaching experience. During this time, she has served as a cooperating teacher for several student teachers, QPA building co-chair, and the head coach for volleyball. She is entering her 15th year as a track & field coach. Hazelton, her husband, Tony, and their 2 sons, Scott and Brock, make their home on the local family farm where she spent her childhood.
Interests: Hazelton enjoys traveling throughout the United States, supporting CCJSHS students by attending extra-curricular activities, sponsoring youth group and spending time with friends and family.

Background: Inflow was born in Ainsworth, Nebraska, and moved to Kansas in 1999. She is married with two children, Josepha, 9, and Jerit, 7.

Background: Johnson has been teaching and coaching for 29 years, 25 of them being at CCJSHS. In addition to junior and senior high science teaching assignments, he has coached cross country, junior high and high school track & field and assisted with high school girls basketball and junior high boys basketball. Johnson has two children who are CCHS graduates and two more who hope to be. His son, Aaron is a graduate of Tabor College. Danica, his daughter, is a senior at Kansas State University majoring in elementary education. His youngest son, Cory, is an freshman and Sierra is a 7th grader.
Interests: He enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, church activities, jogging, fishing, and other various outdoor pursuits.

Background: Lyon has taught in the Chase County School District for 40 years. As a Signature Member of the Kansas Watercolor Society, Lyon has participated in and, at times won awards, in festivals such as the Plaza Art Fair, The Mulvane Art Festival, Art in the Woods, The Kansas Masters Invitational Art Show, and more recently, Symphony in the Flint Hills exhibit.
Interests: She enjoys teaching workshops, traveling the festival circuit, and learning from other artists.

Background: Remy has taught elementary music, third grade, preschool, kindergarten, as well as sixth grade reading in neighboring school districts. She also has served as the director of the Music Memory program at Kansas State University.

Background: Smith attended Bethany College to play baseball and basketball his freshman year of college. From there he enrolled at the University of Kansas. While there he had the opportunity to assistant coach for the Ottawa High School men's basketball team. Smith graduated in 2012 with a BSE in Health/Physical Education. He taught and coached for three years at Syracuse Jr-Sr High in Syracuse, Kans.
Interests: He enjoys spending time with his family, attending various sporting events, hunting, and going to concerts in Lawrence.

Background: Born and raised in the Kansas City area, she moved to Emporia five years ago where she attended ESU. This is her third year teaching at Chase County.
Interests: Spencer enjoys rooting on her Kansas City teams and taking on her family in fantasy football. She is also an avid baker, and enjoys traveling and reading in her free time.

Background: Uhlrich has been teaching Language Arts and directing plays in Chase County since 1986. In the past, she has been a basketball and Scholar's Bowl coach as well as a grant director. She and her husband have been married for 39 years, have a daughter and son as well as four grandsons and one granddaughter.
Interests: Uhlrich and her husband enjoy running their antique store in Cottonwood Falls. She also is a gardner, amateur botanist, hiker, rock collector, reader and cook. She enjoys her pets, three cats and twelve chickens.
