I love teaching in the same school I attended when I was growing up; therefore, one of my aspirations is to make my classroom one of the most inspiring and stimulating places in town. Teaching in the elementary school means I have the responsibility to provide a solid foundation for each student in my class so he/she emerges with skills to pursue the next step of the learning cycle. This year, I have 16 second grade students in my class who are eager to absorb information and to participate in all the motivating educational ventures offered to them. My goals are to present a positive and influential learning environment and to make this year a productive knowledgeable experience and a successful endeavor for each child.

I grew up in southeast Kansas (Pittsburg). I came to Central Kansas in 2005. I have two perfect (?) children, Kevin, 21, and Stacy, 24, and a wonderful son –in –law, Aaron. Although this is my first year teaching full time in Chase County, I spent some time here as a substitute teacher, and loved the quality of life and dedication to students that is offered here. I am very happy to be here.
