Thursday:   Junior high track will get released at 11 a.m. to eat and leave at 11:30 a.m. Junior varsity softball will be released at 3:20 p.m. The golf team will be released at 11:30 a.m. to eat and leave at 12 p.m.

Friday:   High school track will be released at 1:45 p.m. and leave at 2 p.m. Softball and baseball will be released at 3:20 p.m.

College Access Scholarship applications can be picked up in Mrs. Barrett’s office. If you are taking Butler or FHTC classes in the 2021-2022 school year, I would highly encourage applying for this scholarship. Application deadline is April 30, 2021.

2021-2022 cheer tryouts Wednesday, April 7 at 6 p.m. in the north gym.

If you have borrowed earbuds from Mrs. Scott, please return them. Dakota Goza, please return the pair you borrowed. Thank you, Mrs. Scott.

Junior english classes, report to Mr. Budke’s room Wednesday and Thursday for your State Assessment. Make sure your iPad is fully charged and you have to read or work on after your test. Thank you, Mr. Budke.

Kansas Range Youth Camp will be June 15-18. If you are interested in plants, livestock or wildlife, please attend this educational event. Any upcoming high school sophomore, junior and seniors can attend. It will be held at Camp Mennoscah in Murdock, Kansas. The cost is $250 per participant and the fee will be paid for two campers. If you are interested you should contact your local conservation district, extension office, farm bureau office, livestock association. For more information, a flier is posted on the main bulletin board.

We are currently looking for a new dishwasher at Ad Astra Food and Drink. If you are interested in joining our team and have weekend availability, please give us a call. Prom - If you are bringing an outside date to prom stop by the office and pick up a form for your guest.

The CCJSHS Music and Art Departments will be hosting a Fine Arts Night on Wednesday, May 5. The art displays will be in the commons area beginning at 5:30 p.m. The concert will be performed in the north gym at 7 p.m. with the bulk of the seating being in the home bleachers. Some chairs will be available. This is a change from the school calendar date that was supposed to happen April 13.

Dance tryouts will be held April 14. Practices are on April 11 and April 13. There is a meeting for all candidates Thursday at 7:40 a.m in Mrs. Drake’s room.

2021 yearbooks are $60 until the end of the school year before the price goes up to $70.
