Friday:   High school track will be released at 1:45 p.m. and leave at 2 p.m. Softball and baseball will be released at 3:20 p.m.

Congratulations to the golf team! Lathe Watkins got first and the team placed second out of four teams at Chase yesterday. Good job golf team.

Freshmen - Baseball concessions today. If you haven’t signed up to help, you need to do so.

Sophomores - Please see Mrs. Eidman to pick up your flower order sheets.

Seniors - Project Graduation waiver should be put in Mrs. Eidman’s mailbox in the mailroom.

College Access Scholarship applications can be picked up in Mrs. Barrett’s office. If you are taking Butler or FHTC classes in the 2021-2022 school year, I would highly encourage applying for this scholarship. Application deadline is April 30, 2021.

If you ordered a corsage or boutonniere, please email Mrs. Koch and let her know if you will be picking up after school Friday or Saturday at 11 a.m. Thank you!

Kansas Range Youth Camp will be June 15-18. If you are interested in plants, livestock or wildlife, please attend this educational event. Any upcoming high school sophomore, junior and seniors can attend. It will be held at Camp Mennoscah in Murdock, Kansas. The cost is $250 per participant and the fee will be paid for two campers. If you are interested you should contact your local conservation district, extension office, farm bureau office, livestock association. For more information, a flier is posted on the main bulletin board.

On Tuesday, April 13, the following students will have school photos taken during seminar: Toby Cobb, Ryleigh Gaede, Hunter Goodell, Kinsey Smoots, Alex Shortino, Malakhi Smith, John Paul Ubert, Sam Knowles, Micah Robinson and Piper Vogel. Please make arrangements to be in school and prepared for photos on that day. 

Dance practice Sunday 3-4:30 p.m. Please bring signed tryout forms on Sunday. The second practice is at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13 and tryouts are on Wednesday, April 14.

All KAY members recognition assembly is Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. 

Quill and Scroll induction for both new members from last year and this year will be held on Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. All journalism students who competed last year in state contest and those who competed in this year’s regional contest will be recognized after the induction ceremony. 

Butler enrollment will be in Mrs. Koch’s room during seminar Wednesday, April 14. Those who may need a placement test will do so after lunch. This may take up to two hours but typically does not.

2021 yearbooks are $60 until the end of the school year before the price goes up to $70.

I am weeding out some old library books, and making room for the new ones. We just received 170 new books. There is a table set up with books on it, and I will be adding to them daily. Come take a look and see if any of the old ones appeal to you, or come check out a new one. Thank you, Mrs. Scott.

The city of Cottonwood Falls is hiring for the position of certified lifeguards for the summer. New applicants need to call or text Brenda at 620-340-5131 for an application. Returning lifeguards need to text or call Brenda to reapply. Deadline is April 16.
