The Chase County Health Department is wanting to see if there is any interest in the Pfizer vaccine for ages 16-18? If you are interested in having your child vaccinated in the future, please contact the school nurse, we are needing a survey of how much vaccine our county would need for that age group. Please note that the county does not currently have the Pfizer vaccine and still doesn’t know when or how much we will receive. Looking farther into the future, if you have any interest in having your child/children ages 12-15 vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine, please contact your school nurse. Again, the county is just needing a look at how many might be interested.

If you are wanting to get your student 16 or older vaccinated quickly, you can visit www.KansasVaccine.gov for a full listing of sites that offer the vaccine for that age group.

The Chase County Health Department will be getting a shipment of the Pfizer vaccine in the next week or two! We are trying to correlate with them about the administration of the doses, as spring is a very busy time for our students and we must consider the three weeks between doses. So please continue to let Mrs. Schlup know if your student is interested so we can have enough vaccines on hand. We are currently looking at having the first dose available the week of April 26, putting the second dose due the week of May 17. The second dose will need to be planned around your spring activities as there is a chance of having a “flu-like” reaction. This is only for 16 year olds and up. If the dates do not work for your student, please contact Mrs. Schlup or the Chase County Health Department, 620-273-6676.

All music students - Our concert is Wednesday, May 5 at 7 p.m. Please make arrangements to wear black and white (black on the bottom and white on the top).
