Junior Sophia Glanville just received notification that she won first place in the Kansas Turnpike Authority’s Sixth Annual Work Zone Awareness Week design contest and received a $200 gift card for her design. Students in Computer Graphics had to create a design based on the promotion of safety in work zones and for construction workers. After completion of the assignment, students then submitted their design to the contest.

“I was honestly shocked that I won the contest. I thought it would be fun to just enter it after we finished that specific project in class and see what happened,” Glanville said. “I am really excited that my design will be shared with others in a magazine.”
