Abrielle Zuniga-Peres was awarded a Hagan Scholarship to attend the University of Kansas. The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide scholarship designed to help high achieving students graduate college debt-free. The scholarship provides up to $6,000 each semester for up to eight consecutive semesters. The scholarship also provides recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum via free workshops, Schwab brokerage accounts ,and study abroad. Hagan Scholars currently attend colleges and universities located in 47 states. Congratulations, Abby!

Track Meets Return to Chase County!
Next week we will be hosting a junior high track meet on Tuesday, April 12 at 2 pm. We will then host a high school track meet on Thursday, April 14 at 3 pm. Come out and support the track teams.

Just a reminder that the start time for next Tuesday's HS SB/BsB game at Melvern (MDCV) starts at 4:00 as they do not have lights. The calendar is not corrrect.

CCES Families: We will be having the K-6 music concert outside on Field Day, Wednesday, May 4th (rainout date Wednesday, May 11). The concert will be at the track around lunch time.
The 6th grade band will have a concert on Thursday, May 12th, time TBD in the CCES gym.

The baseball and softball games are cancelled for today. The games will be rescheduled for Friday, April 29, but they will be hosted AT Osage City. This is a location change. The JV baseball and softball games at Central Heights scheduled for that day (not on the calendar) are cancelled.

Speed Camp will be Thursday at 6:45am. No Speed on Wednesday.

Congratulations to the musicians who participated in Flint Hills League Band/Vocal yesterday.
Abbey Vega got a 1-Outstanding rating on her vocal solos.
Sophia Glanville got a 1-Outstanding on both her vocal and trombone solos.
Nora Budke got a 2-Excellent rating on both her vocal and flute solos.
They will be performing at Regionals on April 9th.

Baseball and Softball Update/Calendar Change:
The games vs. Mission Valley scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday, March 24) has been moved to Monday, March 28. The JV games scheduled for Monday, March 28 vs. Lyndon have been cancelled. We are working to schedule other JV games.

CCJSHS Menu change for Wednesday, March 23
Instead of Chicken and Waffles, the junior high and high school students will be having chicken patty sandwiches. This is only for the CCJSHS students. The elementary students will be having chicken and waffles.

The high school JV baseball game scheduled for today (Tuesday, March 22) has been cancelled due to rain/field conditions.

The high school Winter Sports Recognition will be TODAY (Monday, March 21) at 2:30 pm in the CCJSHS Auditorium. The junior high Winter Sports Recognition will be Thursday, March 24 at 2:45 pm in the CCJSHS Auditorium.
