Monday, April 19 - Softball (only) here vs. Oskaloosa 5 pm. One game only. This is an additional game.
Thursday, April 29 - Softball and Baseball @ Central Heights 4:30 pm. This is a calendar change. The games were moved from Friday, April 30 to Thursday, April 29.

Osage City came from behind to beat the Bulldogs 7-8.

The softball team lost to Osage City, 5-9.

Chase County baseball beat Osage City, 7-2, in game 1.

CALENDAR CHANGE:
The CCJSHS Music and Art Departments will be hosting a Fine Arts Night on Wednesday, MAY 5. The art displays will be in the commons beginning at 5:30 p.m. The concert will be presented in the North Gym at 7:00 with the bulk of the seating being in the home bleachers. Some chairs will be available. (This is a change from the school calendar date of April 13th).

As we move into outdoor spring sports, KSHSAA has made the following interpretation on masks.
KSHSAA Executive Board interpretation (March 23, 2021): Any participant (including but not limited to athletes, coaches, officials, spectators, support staff and all others attending/participating in school activities) outdoors, who is able to maintain a minimum of six feet of social distancing would not be required to wear a face covering. Adherence to a more restrictive local health authority or school district policy is supported and expected

SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL FAN UPDATE:
Thursday's (tomorrow's) games at Mission Valley have been CHANGED. The date has changed for both games, and the location has changed for the baseball game.
The SOFTBALL team will be playing Friday, March 26 AT MISSION VALLEY at 4:30 pm.
The BASEBALL team will be playing Friday, March 26 HERE at 4:30 pm.

Reminder that CCRC summer ball forms are due Thursday, March 25th. There is a drop box at Chase County Board Office for after hours.

The high school wrestling team (boys and girls) and the high school football team will be having their awards presentations on Tuesday, March 23 at 6:30 pm in the CCJSHS auditorium. Team members and parents are invited.

The high school sports award assembly scheduled for Thursday evening has been canceled. Each sports team will have its own recognition celebration. Coaches will announce when specific teams will meet as the events are planned.

The Winter Extravaganza, sponsored by Student Council, will start at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, for warmup times for the two teams, with the girls game scheduled for 6 p.m. and the boys game at 7:30 p.m. We have All-Star lineups for both the girls and boys teams. Pat Potts will coach the girls alumni team and Ryan Schroer will lead the boys team. Trey Hinkson, Roseann Higgs, and the third ref is yet to be found. There will be 10-12 theme baskets on display for the Silent Auction. The sophomore class will host concessions for the event. A few other events will be taking place throughout the evening adding to the evening’s entertainment. All donations for gate and the Silent Auction will be added to our Chase County families in need fund. Please come out and support your high school and alumni teams, and it is all for a great cause. Masks are required, as is social distancing. Come enjoy a fun evening of entertainment!
