USD 284 Board of Education will have a special meeting on Monday, Feb. 10 at 7 pm. This is in addition to the regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Don't forget that the high school sub-state basketball will look a bit different this year. Class 2A sub-state seeding will be on Saturday, February 22.
Quarterfinal games will be played at the higher seed on Thursday, February 27 (Boys Class 2A) and Friday, February 28 (Girls Class 2A). Semifinals will also be played at the higher seed on Tuesday, March 4 (Boys Class 2A) and Wednesday, March 5 (Girls Class 2A).
The finals will be played at Yates Center on Friday, March 7 (Boys Class 2A) and Saturday, March 8 (Girls Class 2A). Each site will have two finals on both of those days. Start time for the first game on Saturday, March 8 is 5 p.m.

HS Girls BB Update:
The HS Girls will not participate in the JV BB Tournament on Saturday, February 8th, due to injuries/illness.
We will have school on Monday, Feb. 10. On the calendar, it is listed as no school unless a makeup day is needed due to inclement weather. We will be using Monday, Feb. 10 as a makeup day.

Reminder: All Sweetheart Spirit Clinic registration forms are due to the CCES office by Friday, January 31. Forms were sent home in red folders last week. The performance will take place at halftime of the boys’ home basketball game on Friday, February 14.
Flint Hills Shoot Out:
Final Brackets. The HS girls placed second after a loss to Osage City, 38-64. The HS boys placed 5th with a 58-51 win over West Franklin.
HS Forensics:
Wren Burton placed 5th in prose. She also qualified for state champs in poetry with a 1st place finish at the Osage City meet. Congratulations, Wren!!!

The HS boys won tonight, beating Lyndon 56-44. They will play West Franklin tomorrow (Saturday) at 1:30.

The HS girls team will play in the championship round on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 6 pm vs. Osage City. Good luck!
USD 284 Chase County will have a special Board meeting tonight (Friday, January 24) at 6 pm at the Board Office.

We are excited to announce that Junior High wrestling practice will begin on Tuesday, January 28th. To ensure everyone is informed and prepared for the season, we will be holding a parent meeting on Thursday, January 30th, in Coach Budke's classroom at 5:30 pm.
