Interested in becoming a CNA or EMT? Check this out! This is such a great opportunity for high school students and others in the community.
HS students pay no tuition so they are only responsible for the fees and books required to complete the class. The 12 credit hour EMT class is extremely discounted for high school students and a great starting place for anyone interested in Paramedic or AEMT. Of course, CNA is a great job as well as a pre-requisite to most nursing programs.
Non-HS students can also take advantage of a local grant or the Kansas Promise Act which would cover whatever is not paid by other scholarships.

SUMMER MORATORIUM – July 1-July 7, 2024
Julye 1-July 7, 2024 is the summer moratorium week. There shall be NO school related athletic
activities. During this time coaches (licensed teacher coaches and coach aides employed by member
schools) shall be prohibited from engaging in any type of activity involving student athletes whether it
be practice, training, weight lifting, conditioning, competition or travel. All member school athletic
facilities will be closed during this period to school personnel and students grades 7-12. If member
school athletic facilities also serve as non-school community recreation facilities, these facilities may
remain open during the moratorium so long as no school teams are playing and no school coaches are
coaching the teams/individuals. During this one week dead period, students may attend camps or
competitions but may not do so with their school coaches. This moratorium does not impact fine arts or
spirit activities.
See everyone next week! Enjoy time with family time!

The Chase County Cheer Squad had a fabulous time at camp last week! They traveled to El Dorado for UCA camp at Butler CC. Of the 13 squad members, 9 are brand new to cheer this year. The team accomplished so much in a very short amount of time. They placed 2nd in the Spirit Routine for the medium division and head captain, Jadyn Evans, was awarded All American cheerleader. Impressive start to the season!
