CCES Back-to-School Night August 21. Come and go between 5:30-6:30 pm. Ernie Williamson Music (formerly Flint Hills Music) will have an instrument display for 6th graders in the music room. Students can try out different instruments and find out about rental options. Be sure to come check it out if your child is interested in band!
Student schedules will be available to view on GoEdustar Tuesday, August 13 after 8:00 AM. If your student would like to make schedule changes, please come into the building and meet with Mrs. Barrett during her office hours Tuesday, August 13 through Thursday, August 15 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Students will also have the first 3 days of school to make any needed adjustments. Class maximums may be met on a first come first serve basis. All FHTC students, part-time and full-time online students, and their guardians, please plan to come in during these office hours to finalize paperwork.
The All Sports Athletic Meeting is this Thursday, Aug. 15. The Cheer Parent Meeting will start at 5:30 pm. The other sports will start at 6 pm. All students MUST sign in at the front doors.
Physicals must be completed and turned in before the student can practice. Practices start Monday, August 19. Physicals can be turned in at the District Office or to Brenda Wessel at the Sports Meeting (as you sign in).
Ten members of the girls basketball team gave up their Saturday morning to volunteer at Pioneer Bluffs. They worked with the regular volunteers to clean flower beds, weed eat, sweep, trim bushes, and more! The team had a good day working, laughing, and serving together before the busy start of the school year. Thanks girls!

New student enrollment is TODAY (Thursday, Aug. 8) and TOMORROW! All new students (including PreK) will need to enroll at the building of attendance.

School calendars are ready to be picked up. Families with students in both buildings can pick up their calendars at CCES. If you only have one student(s) in one building, the calendar is in the building your student(s) attend. The secretaries are in the offices 8 am to 4 pm. If the front doors are locked, just buzz the intercom as indicated on the doors.
If your junior high or high school student would like to talk to Stacia Barrett about his/her schedule, Stacia will have office hours Tuesday, August 13 through Thursday, August 15 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please feel free to stop by and visit with her.

BAND CAMP -
All incoming 7-12 band students are invited to attend band camp at the JSHS on Monday 8/5, and Tuesday 8/6 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Come one or both days. This is NOT a requirement to be in a band class this year, but I encourage you to attend if you are available.

For tomorrow, July 31st, all weight groups will start at the pool. Please be there by 7:30 AM. We will be done by 8:15 AM.
Don't forget to bring your swim gear and a towel!

Chase County Recreation Commission is needing all 4th, 5th and 6th grade tackle football forms on or before July 31st. Forms are available at Board Office and can be turned in there also.
