Chase County USD 284 -

Tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 18) is a scheduled professional development day for staff members. Students will NOT have school tomorrow. Friday’s basketball game at Centre will start at 6 pm with the varsity girls in the main gym and the JV boys in the new gym. Monday, Feb. 21, we WILL have school. Due to the number of snow days we have had, we WILL be using the scheduled makeup day #2.

Due to the National Weather Service's forecasted winter storm warning and advisory, USD 284 will be closed tomorrow, February 17th. All classes and activities are canceled tomorrow. Stay safe and stay warm.

HS Wrestling Update: The home high school wrestling tournament scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12 has been changed to Friday, Feb. 11 @ 4 pm. It will be Senior Parents' Night. HS Girls Regional Wrestling will only be on Saturday, Feb. 12. at Remington High School.

HS Basketball Update for Friday, Feb. 11: There will be NO JV boys basketball game. The JV girls will only play one half starting @ 5:00 pm. The varsity games will following the JV girls.

HS Basketball Update The basketball game vs. Mission Valley has been rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 17 at 4:30 pm, but the game will be AT Mission Valley starting at 4:30. This is a location change.

HS Basketball Update February 8, 2022 vs. MDCV: Parents' Night will be held between the two varsity games. North Gym: 4:30 - JV Boys, 6:00 Varsity Girls, 7:30 Varsity Boys South Gym: 6:00 - 1/2 C Boys, 7:30 1/2 JV Girls

HS Girls Regional Wrestling @ Remington High School February 12, 2022: The tournament will be one day and will start at 10:00 am. Admission is $7 for adults and $6 for students. Location: 8850 NW Meadowlark Road, Whitewater, KS 67154

HS Scholars Bowl team placed third today at regional meet at Flinthills, which qualified the team for state! Congratulations to team members: Connor Jahnke, Taylor Palenske, Paden Jahnke, Bella Zerbe, Sophia Glanville and Laura Koch! So proud of our Bulldogs❤️🐾

Chase County’s A Team placed third today at the JH Quiz Bowl competition at Osage City! The B Team placed fourth. Great job, junior Bulldogs!

Chase County forensics places 3rd at the Abilene meet. Individual placers were: Laura Koch-1st, Oration; Paden Jahnke-5th Impromptu, Daysha Schickel-5th, Prose; Nora Budke-7th, Prose, Abby Zuniga and Nora Budke-6th, Duet. Congratulations, Bulldogs!

Monday, February 7 is a scheduled day with no school; therefore, we will NOT have school. Monday, February 21 is a scheduled makeup day if needed due to inclement weather. Since we have missed some snow days, we will be making up one of those days on Monday, February 21. We WILL have school on Monday, February 21.

Due to snow, please drop off your elementary student at the east doors of CCES. Please do not park and walk your student in. Simply drop your student off and exit out the east exit by the barn. If a bus is in front of you please just remain behind the bus and wait patiently.

HS Basketball Update: Friday, Feb. 4 We will NOT be hosting any JV games. The games will start at 6:00 pm with the Varsity girls game. The varsity boys will follow. It is Winter Courts so we will have that ceremony.

With the blowing snow and cold temperatures, USD 284 will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, Feb, 3rd. All activities are cancelled. Regional Scholars' Bowl is rescheduled to Monday, Feb. 7th @ 4 pm.

Based on the confident forecasts from the National Weather Service and the Winter Storm Warning, USD #284 Chase County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2, 2022. If the weather does not end up getting bad, we messed up and apologize in advance. Please be safe during this predicted winter weather storm event. We will be having school on Monday, February 21.

HS Basketball Calendar Change Tuesday, Feb. 1 (TOMORROW) - JV games will start @ 3:45 pm. BOTH JV games will only be a half and will be in the SOUTH gym. VARSITY games will start @ 5 pm in the NORTH gym.

Due to illness, the PATHS Chili Supper on Friday, January 28th has been POSTPONED. A new date will be announced at a later time.

HS Basketball Update: The Mission Valley basketball game has been rescheduled again. It will be on Thursday, Feb. 3rd.
