Chase County’s A Team placed third today at the JH Quiz Bowl competition at Osage City! The B Team placed fourth. Great job, junior Bulldogs!

Monday, February 7 is a scheduled day with no school; therefore, we will NOT have school.
Monday, February 21 is a scheduled makeup day if needed due to inclement weather. Since we have missed some snow days, we will be making up one of those days on Monday, February 21. We WILL have school on Monday, February 21.
Due to snow, please drop off your elementary student at the east doors of CCES. Please do not park and walk your student in. Simply drop your student off and exit out the east exit by the barn. If a bus is in front of you please just remain behind the bus and wait patiently.
HS Wrestling Update: The home high school wrestling tournament scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12 has been changed to Friday, Feb. 11 @ 4 pm. It will be Senior Parents' Night. This eliminates the conflict with girls regional wrestling.
HS Girls Regional Wrestling will only be on Saturday, Feb. 12. at Remington High School.
HS Basketball Update: Friday, Feb. 4
We will NOT be hosting any JV games. The games will start at 6:00 pm with the Varsity girls game. The varsity boys will follow. It is Winter Courts so we will have that ceremony.
With the blowing snow and cold temperatures, USD 284 will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, Feb, 3rd. All activities are cancelled. Regional Scholars' Bowl is rescheduled to Monday, Feb. 7th @ 4 pm.

HS Basketball Calendar Change
Tuesday, Feb. 1 (TOMORROW) - JV games will start @ 3:45 pm. BOTH JV games will only be a half and will be in the SOUTH gym. VARSITY games will start @ 5 pm in the NORTH gym.
Due to illness, the PATHS Chili Supper on Friday, January 28th has been POSTPONED. A new date will be announced at a later time.

The following will apply to ANYONE interested in obtaining ANY new CDL LICENSE for any reason:
Starting on February 7, every person interested in obtaining a CDL for any reason (drive school bus, drive semi, etc.) will be required to complete ELDT (Entry Level Driver Training) which included Theory Training and Behind the Wheel driving training. The training is not required before taking the DMV written test, but it will be required prior to taking the DMV driving test. The completion of both types of training will have to be electronically documented by a registered trainer.
As a district, we will be helping bus drivers with this and will be providing the training. We need and will be needing bus drivers. Please consider getting your CDL with the S and P endorsement to help us. We need route substitute drivers and activity drivers now. We might be needing route drivers in the future.
If you want to avoid the ELDT training, you must pass your DMV written test (obtain your permit) prior to Feb. 7.
