Covid Informational Fact #2
Please remain extra vigilant with the health and wellness of your students along with yourself. We continue to strongly encourage household members to remain home, if feasible, if anyone in the house is showing signs of illness or is awaiting test results. Call your primary care provider or local health department for guidance.

COVID Informational Fact #1
If students are not feeling well or are reporting ANY kind of illness-related symptoms (cough, sore throat, headache, etc.), they should not attend school. Students, staff, and parents alike need to continue to monitor themselves and each other for signs and symptoms of any kind of illness. Sometimes the younger children have a hard time expressing what they feel. Please refer to the Return-to-School Flow Chart, contact your Primary Care Provider, or contact the school health nurse for guidance.

Thank you to the Kaltenbacher Fund and to the Chase County Recreation Commission for helping us work on the tennis court. Things definitely look different already, but there is still work to be completed. The two new basketball goals to complete the basketball court section are on backorder but will hopefully be here soon.

Parents and Community Members,
Have you heard about the latest TikTok trend called Devious Licks? Students are posting videos with items they have damaged, vandalized, or stolen from schools. The rest rooms seem to be areas of the most destruction, but students are hitting other areas of the schools across the nation. There are multiple news stories on the internet, and this has been covered on the local news if you would like to learn more. I know KWCH ran a story on this.
This trend has hit Chase County. This trend does not make sense in my eyes, but it is occurring. Please talk to your student about the consequences of their actions whether you allow your student to use social media or not. Explain the seriousness of these actions, and please help by monitoring your student's social media. We need your help in stopping these actions.
Damage to the school can result in suspension, restitution, or even criminal charges depending on the nature and cost of the vandalism. The taxpayers have invested in our schools and supported the bond. We don't want to see our buildings vandalized. The community members have provided outstanding facilities and we want to keep them that way! We appreciate your assistance in this matter.
Glenna Grinstead
Superintendent
