The Bulldogs are losing at half, 20-40.

With 9:45 left in the first half, the Bulldogs are behind 12-24.

The Gating Committee made the decision to move to the yellow phase starting on Monday, Nov. 16. Rather than being reactive, the committee has chosen to be proactive and work to reduce the risk at school. We have a growing number of cases in the community, and there is evidence of community spread. The virus does not recognize county lines, and the counties around us are blowing up. This move to the Yellow Phase will put every student in a cohort group during the school day. It will also help reduce staff exposure. Finally, we do not want to move to the red phase if it can be helped.
Emails were sent to the parents via the Goedustar contact system and contain more specific information. Some may have been undeliverable if we do not have your correct email in the system.

Today, the school district was notified by the Chase County Health Department that an individual at Chase County Junior-Senior High School is positive for COVID-19. We are in contact with the Chase County Health Department and will take the steps necessary to protect the health of our students and staff. In the case of a positive test, the individual will not be allowed to return to school until approved by the Health Department and district personnel.
All close contacts and their families have been notified, and those affected were sent home.
The symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to the regular seasonal influenza and include fever, coughing, and shortness of breath. Some have reported additional symptoms, such as a runny nose, sore throat, nausea, lethargy, lack of appetite, vomiting, and diarrhea. Individuals who need medical care should call their medical provider to report their illness prior to seeking care at a clinic, physician’s office, or hospital. Parents of students exhibiting flu-like symptoms or staff exhibiting flu-like symptoms are asked to contact a school nurse, local health authorities, or the Chase County Department of Health.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Carrillo or Mrs. Schlup at 620-273-6354 or Glenna Grinstead at 620-273-6303.
