Tonight at Wabunsee, the JV won! The Varsity placed 2nd!!!
The first Spirit Clinic practice will be tonight (Monday) in the north gym of CCJSHS beginning at 6:00PM. Doors will be unlocked by 5:45PM. We may run a little longer than originally planned in case of weather issues later in the week. If your student is unable to attend practice, please text Stacia Barrett at 620-441-7133 for videos of the material.
Due to weather predictions, Tuesday's high school basketball game (at MDCV) will start at 4 pm. There will not be any JV games. The varsity girls game will start at 4 pm followed by the varsity boys game.
Due to the weather predictions, Interstate Studios has rescheduled CCES Picture Day! CCES picture day, originally schedule for Feb. 13, has been moved to Feb. 18.
Due to weather concerns, the high school league wrestling tournament will be moved to a 1:00 pm start in Council Grove on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
The HS boys JV team won 44-29 over NLC.
The high school boys JV basketball team lost to Osage City 38-58. They play again around 1:30 pm.
HS BB Update:
The high school JV boys basketball team will play in a JV tournament in Lyndon tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 8). The team plays at 10:30 am in the LEMS gym vs. Osage City. The high school girls JV team will not be playing.

Just a quick reminder about activities:
If your student is ill/unable to attend school, he/she is not allowed to attend evening activities. This includes school practices, CCES spirit clinics, games, etc.
It is also district policy that students PreK-6 should be accompanied by an adult. All students should be seated during the games.
HS BB Update for Friday, Feb. 7 vs. Burlingame:
Due to sickness, the JV girls will not play. The JV boys will play at 4:30 pm followed by the varsity games. All games will be in the north gym.
USD 284 Board of Education will have a special meeting on Monday, Feb. 10 at 7 pm. This is in addition to the regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Don't forget that the high school sub-state basketball will look a bit different this year. Class 2A sub-state seeding will be on Saturday, February 22.
Quarterfinal games will be played at the higher seed on Thursday, February 27 (Boys Class 2A) and Friday, February 28 (Girls Class 2A). Semifinals will also be played at the higher seed on Tuesday, March 4 (Boys Class 2A) and Wednesday, March 5 (Girls Class 2A).
The finals will be played at Yates Center on Friday, March 7 (Boys Class 2A) and Saturday, March 8 (Girls Class 2A). Each site will have two finals on both of those days. Start time for the first game on Saturday, March 8 is 5 p.m.

The HS Girls will not participate in the JV BB Tournament on Saturday, February 8th, due to injuries/illness.

Eureka is dealing with sickness and injuries, so we will only play the following games tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 4) and all games will be in the north gym:

We will have school on Monday, Feb. 10. On the calendar, it is listed as no school unless a makeup day is needed due to inclement weather. We will be using Monday, Feb. 10 as a makeup day.
